As a reminder, Academic Technology and IT will be migrating all active courses during the first week of June. Blackboard will be unavailable starting on Friday, June 2 at 4:30 pm. Best case scenario, we will have Blackboard available end of day on Monday (June 5). Time allotted by our Blackboard Project Team for contingencies is a downtime through Wednesday, June 7 at noon.
After migration of existing courses is complete, we will begin migrating and preparing all Fall courses to be completed no later than Friday, June 16th. After Fall courses are migrated and available, we will prepare Spring courses.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact T.R. Knight, Director of Academic Technology (email@example.com, x84902) or Help Desk (firstname.lastname@example.org, x84040, http://4040.taylor.edu/contactcs.html).
Students, we encourage you to contact your professor to determine how your course will proceed through this scheduled downtime.
We are aware of and currently working on a resolution for viewing embedded videos in Blackboard.
These videos are identified by a purple "Show Media" button. YouTube and other videos are unaffected.
Until we resolve this issue, we have found the current version of Chrome browser plays all videos correctly.
If you experience any problems viewing blackboard videos in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Edge, or other browsers, try using Chrome v.56 or higher until this issue is resolved.
Thank you for your patience.

Having a Blackboard issue? First thing to try is a different browser! We recommend that you use Mozilla Firefox but if your course has videos you want to use Chrome.
